SERV201: Managing Access through Permissions and Policies
Description:
This 4-hour server administration course builds on a baseline of security knowledge and expands into the two key server management areas - permissions (shared folder and NTFS) and policies (group and remote access). You will explore the assessment of access needs and translate these into network share planning and configuration of shared folder and NTFS permissions with the goal of granting access on an “as needed” basis. You will then look at planning and configuration of group policy for three key purposes - delegating IT administration rights, user and computer controls, and software deployment. Finally this course will address configuration of remote access policies using various approaches.
