Veterans Re-Entry Education Program
This project will use a Congressionally-directed grant to achieve its goals via a three-pronged approach.
The first simplifies the process of granting credit for military training and experience through the creation of a data base technology system to provide information to colleges and universities on competencies acquired and documented in the military. This system will be used to analyze experience and training and their relation to the college or university program.
Secondly, the grant will develop a coordinated method to provide training for current military members and for veterans seeking to gain civilian occupational credentials.
Finally, the grant will provide for veterans friendly modifications in existing planning and information system and will provide financial assistance to ascertain the mental, physical and behavioral health needs of students who are veterans, relative to those needs of the general population of students.
