Redundant Network Paths
One of the primary contributing factors to the performance of the applications is the state of network availability or the network uptime. Towards the goal of providing high availability of mission critical applications, the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities' ITS has initiated multiple projects targeted to address the various factors that influence the network uptime.
The specific objectives identified for this project are:
- to investigate and increase the network availability through redundancy for critical components
- to investigate and implement mechanisms to minimize the impact of accepted failures (occuring beyond the scope of redundancy)
