Expand Gaming Capacity
The initiative funds continue to build on a long-term gaming strategy for the system. In the short-run, additional courses will have gaming aspects incorporated and new opportunities to serve businesses will be identified. In the long-run, MnSCU will be identified as a leader in the use of serious learning games and simulations in higher education. The funds invested in FY2008 will pay for themselves in two to three years in greater game capacity in the system, additional enrollment in courses using games and increased number of relationships with businesses.
The goal of the year is to:
• Incorporate gaming into several additional courses;
• Expand the system’s capacity for serving Minnesota businesses through game-based simulation strategies;
• Create a mechanism for sharing ideas on gaming throughout the system;
• Develop a long-term strategy for gaming for the system
