IT Management Council
Mission/Purpose:
- to strengthen the connections between the Office of the Chancellor ITS management team and the Leadership Council
- to ensure alignment of divisional efforts with the system strategic directions
- to create broad, cross divisional collaboration by including Office of the Chancellor Associate Vice Chancellors from across divisions, along with significant campus representation
Relationships:
- makes recommendations to the Leadership Council Technology Committee and Vice Chancellor for Information Technology
- user groups and steering committees will make recommendations to the IT Management council
Ground Rules:
- appointees who miss two meetings may be replaced; [for discussion: alternates/proxies]
- all appointments are subject to annual review by the appointing authority
- the committee recognizes that it is an advisory, not a decision-making, body; it will seek consensus whenever possible, while making sure to include divergent and opposing positions in meeting minutes and related documents
Communication:
- minutes and meeting information will be posted on the ITS web page
- members are responsible for (a) representing the views of their stakeholders (b) communicating with the groups they recommend before and after meetings
Modification:
- Changes to the committee charter require approval of committee chairs and a majority of members.
